A landscape and pool design for the grounds of a contemporary house in Elstead.

The brief was to connect the garden with the living spaces inside the house, and to create an outdoor kitchen where everything links naturally to the spaces around it.

 

Terraces step directly out from the main rooms, so the garden reads as an extension of the house.

 

A pool, timber deck and pergola sit together at one end, with the outdoor kitchen close by for cooking and entertaining.

Planting

Planting softens the hard landscaping throughout, with raised beds, layered borders and a sweeping gravel drive bringing the approach to the house together.
