Alchemy House of Design has been doing that for 20 years. We are architectural and landscape designers based in Haslemere, twenty minutes down the road. Extensions, internal remodelling, loft and barn conversions, replacement dwellings - all surveyed, designed, taken through planning and building regulations.  We can even build it if you want us to.

Our work here runs out into the villages. In Godalming itself, The Tannery and a kitchen extension under a lantern rooflight. In Witley, 'Wooden Hills', and the remodelling and extension of a large  house. In Milford, 'The Beck', two new homes designed and taken through planning. We have also designed and gained planning approval for homes in Chiddingfold, Farncombe and Hurtmore.

Much of central Godalming sits in a conservation area, the Surrey Hills National Landscape reaches the edge of the town, and the timber-framed buildings along the High Street bring listed building consent into play. Witley and Milford carry conservation area status across much of the older village, where tile-hung and timber-framed houses mean materials and detailing get looked at closely. All of it changes what gets approved, so we design for it from the first sketch.
